Installing the IVA 2016 help program on Windows operating systems
On the website you will find the download of the help programme VAT 2016, from which you can generate a file for the electronic filing of form 390, either with an electronic certificate, DNIe or through the Cl@ve PIN system or, if possible, obtain a pre-declaration for confirmation by sending a SMS.
Follow these steps for the correct installation of the program:
1.Install the Java Virtual Machine
In order for the program to run properly, you must have Java Virtual Machine installed on your computer.If you do not have Java Virtual Machine or your version is not up to date, the first step you should take is to install it.To do so, access the official Java website.www.java.com
2.Download and execute the file to install the program
The installation file is found in the section “Value Added Tax (VAT)” under “Download help programs," in the section "Help" section at the bottom of the website.
Save the file on your computer (for example on the Desktop).Follow the instructions of the program's installation wizard
After the installation of the program, double-click on the VAT 2016 icon created to open the program.
If the program does not open or you do not find the direct access, try to execute the file "iva2016.jar" which is found in C:\AEAT\IVA2016 or in the path in which you have installed it.
If a menu display fails, open a tax return and access the help program option "Edit", "Preferences" and select "CDE/Motif" under "Appearance".
