Insurance and reinsurance entities
(Law 20/2015, of July 14, on the regulation, supervision and solvency of insurance and reinsurance entities.) [In force since January 1, 2016]
They must take one of the forms set out in Article 27 of the Law and their name must include the words "insurance" or "reinsurance", or both at the same time. The expressions "mutual insurance societies", "insurance cooperatives" and "social welfare mutual societies" will also be included, for entities of that nature.
- Original and photocopy of the public deed of incorporation, which includes the Statutes that are to govern the operation of the entity.
- Certificate of registration of the entity in the Commercial Registry and, where applicable, in the corresponding Registry of Cooperatives.
- Certificate of Registration in the administrative registry of the General Directorate of Insurance and Pension Funds dependent on the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
- Photocopy of the NIF of the person who signs the census declaration, who must be a representative of the company. If the interested party appears before the Tax Authority, it will not be necessary to provide a photocopy of the NIF , provided that he/she authorizes the bodies of the AEAT to verify his/her identity data.
- Original and photocopy of the document that proves the capacity of representation of the person signing the census declaration (this will not be necessary if it appears as such in the articles of incorporation or in the bylaws).
