I.4.1.3.6. Simplified procedures: authorized sender and authorized consignee
Using both simplified procedures is the optimal way to use the NCTS. The ability for operators to conduct all procedures in their own facilities and exchange information electronically with customs is undoubtedly the fastest, most convenient, secure, and cost-effective way to do business.
The requirement for applying these simplified procedures is that both the authorized consignor and the authorized consignee have adequate electronic systems to exchange information with the customs offices of departure and destination in the NCTS.
The NCTS allows the authorized shippers:
-
prepare the transit declaration in your own computer system;
-
send the IE015 message to the customs office of departure without having to physically present the goods there;
-
send and receive notifications of acceptance of the declaration and release of the goods. This occurs through subsequent messages from the customs office of departure, including requests to correct declaration data.
The NCTS allows the Authorized recipients:
-
receive the goods and the DAT and LdA, if necessary, directly at your premises;
-
send the "Notification of Arrival" message (IE007) to the corresponding destination customs office;
-
Receive and send the following messages regarding authorization to unload the goods and notify the results of the unloading.
