II.3.3.4.4. Procedure at the port of destination

The shipping company must submit a copy of the manifest to the customs authorities at the port of destination via electronic data interchange or, if they do not have the technical means necessary to receive data electronically, on paper.

The competent authorities of the port of destination shall verify the customs status of Union goods by carrying out controls based on a risk analysis and by carrying out verifications in conjunction with the competent authorities of the port of departure.
