II.3.3.4.6. Responsibilities of the shipping company

The shipping company must:

  • Maintain appropriate documentation to enable the competent authorities to verify operations at the ports of departure and destination;
  • make all relevant documents available to the competent authorities; and
  • undertake to be fully accountable to the competent authorities for fulfilling their obligations, as well as to notify them of all violations and irregularities and contribute to clarifying them.
