IV.4.4.4.1. Irregularities in the seals
Only those goods that have been sealed will be released for the common/Union transit procedure. The destination customs office must check whether the seals are intact. If they have been tampered with, the aforementioned customs office will indicate this in the IE018 message sent to the customs office of departure.

CUSTOMS The destination customs office will examine the condition of the seals and record their status in the NCTS. If the seals are missing or damaged, or if there is evidence of tampering, it is strongly recommended that customs authorities examine the goods and record the information in the NCTS. |
