IV.4.4.4.2. Other irregularities

The destination customs office must record the detected irregularity in the NCTS and inform the customs office of departure. It will evaluate the facts presented and establish the appropriate measures to be taken.

It is possible that at the destination customs office, there may be discrepancies between the goods declared in the NCTS and the goods actually presented at that customs office. Each case must be considered individually, as there is a possibility that an error occurred at the customs office of departure.

CUSTOMS

The destination customs office must:

  • register the NRM; and
  • indicate any possible irregularities in the message (IE018).
