IX.2.1.2. Authorization criteria

Annex 9, Part I, paragraph 1, letters a) to d), of the TIR Convention

The authorization criteria cover a series of technical and factual aspects, including demonstration of the required experience and capabilities, a solid financial position, and a good track record in terms of regulatory compliance. These criteria are, in general terms, very similar to those applied under the common/Union transit regimes for granting an authorisation for a comprehensive guarantee (see Part III for further information on guarantees).
