IX.4.4.1. Proper use of the TIR Carnet

The example of how to correctly complete the TIR Carnet should be supplemented with instructions on how to use it correctly. Detailed instructions on how to complete the TIR Carnet and how to process its pages at the various customs offices (departure, transit, or destination) are provided in Annex 8.3.

Likewise, the customs office of departure must take extreme care to properly complete the cover of the TIR carnet.
