The customs office of departure will accept the transit declaration provided that:
- contains all the information necessary for the purposes of the common/Union transit procedure;
- is accompanied by all necessary documents;
- the goods listed in the declaration have been presented to customs during official opening hours.
Apparently incorrect (or incomplete) SAD and DATs will not be accepted.
The official at the customs office of departure shall record the transit declaration by entering the registration number in box C ("Customs office of departure") of the SAD or DAT and indicating in box D (/J) ("Control by the customs office of departure") of the SAD or DAT the details of the inspections carried out, the seals affixed and their period, followed by his signature and seal.
The system for recording declarations used in the business continuity procedure must be different from the NCTS system.
