V.4.3.4. Rectification of the transit declaration

Article 31 of Appendix I to the Convention
Article 173 of the CAU

The holder of the regime may request authorization to rectify the transit declaration once it has been accepted by the competent customs office. The rectification may not include goods in the declaration other than those initially declared.

Any corrections should be made by crossing out any incorrect information and adding any desired corrections.

Any such modification must be approved by its author and by customs. They may, where appropriate, require the submission of a new declaration. The printed documents must not contain any deletions or amendments.

No rectification shall be permitted once the competent authorities have informed the competent authorities of their intention to examine the goods after receiving the transit declaration, have verified the inaccuracy of the declaration data, or have released the goods for transit, except in cases covered by Article 173(3) of the UCC.

It is not possible to rectify a transit declaration if it has been previously submitted but not yet accepted.
