V.6.4.4.1. Irregularities in the seals

Only those goods that have been sealed will be released for the common/Union transit procedure. The customs authorities at the destination office must check whether the seals are intact. If they have been tampered with, the aforementioned authorities will indicate this in the SAD or DAT that they send to the customs office of departure.

CUSTOMS

The destination customs office will examine the condition of the seals and record the results on the SAD or DAT. If the seals are damaged or there is evidence of tampering, it is strongly recommended that customs examine the goods and record the results on the SAD or DAT.
