VII.4.1.4. TC20 Investigation Notice
The competent authority of the country of departure shall continue the investigation procedure by sending a notice of investigation to the competent authority of the country of destination, using a form conforming to the TC20 model shown in Annex VII.8.3.
Such notice may be sent by certified mail (with return receipt requested).
In any case, the competent authority of the country of departure will retain proof of sending the TC20 form.
TC20 will contain all available information, including any additional data provided by the holder of the regime, especially those relating to the change of recipient of the goods. The TC20 must be accompanied by a copy of the document or documents used to include the goods in the regime (copy no. 1 of the SAD, the first copy of the DAT, the loading lists, the air or sea manifest, etc.).
The TC20 will only be sent when the regime holder's response to the request for information is insufficient to complete the transit regime.
