Criminal organisation dedicated to marijuana trafficking in Dos Hermanas broken up

Joint Tax Agency and National Police operation

January 10, 2023.- Customs Surveillance officers from the Tax Agency and agents from the National Police, in a joint operation, have dismantled an organisation dedicated to drug trafficking in Dos Hermanas (Seville), which has culminated in the arrest of three residents of the town of Nazareth as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health.

The operation, known as 'Búcaro-Palace', began at the beginning of 2022, when investigators detected an active group of individuals in Dos Hermanas who were cultivating marijuana for subsequent distribution.

As a result of the investigations, it was possible to identify the suspects and locate several properties that they were allegedly using for the cultivation of the plants.Specifically, two houses located in the Los Montecillos neighbourhood and a villa located in a residential area on the outskirts of Dos Hermanas.

On 20 December, after obtaining the corresponding judicial authorisations, the operation was carried out, resulting in the seizure of more than 5,600 marijuana plants in different stages of growth, a high-end vehicle and cash.

In addition, three arrests were made, all of them natives and residents of the locality of Dos Hermanas in Seville, who were placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities, charged with crimes against public health, together with the drugs and the effects seized.

The joint operation, carried out by the Seville Customs Surveillance Operational Unit and the National Police, remains open and further arrests are not ruled out.
