A multi-drug distribution point organized under the appearance of a "cannabis club" was dismantled

A joint operation by the Tax Agency and the Guardia Civil

June 24, 2022.- Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency and the UDAIFF unit of the Civil Guard of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have dismantled a distribution point for various types of drugs that was organized under the guise of a "cannabis club". In addition, they have arrested one person and investigated three others for an alleged crime of drug trafficking in Fañabé (Adeje).

As a result of the inspections carried out at the tax inspection points carried out by the Tax Agency and the Civil Guard in the customs warehouse facilities, several shipments of postal packages were detected, originating in the South of Tenerife, containing various quantities of drugs and that they were being sent to Barcelona and Ibiza. For this reason, within the framework of the operation "Blond", to locate and identify the authors of these shipments.

The investigations led investigators to an organized group that runs a "cannabis club" that was being used as a cover for the sale of narcotic substances in the town of Fañabé (Adeje).

After the appropriate follow-ups and investigations, on June 15, a member of the group was arrested while he was trying to leave the island on a flight to Ibiza, carrying a large sum of money and about 204 grams in his luggage. of marijuana in two vacuum-packed bags. After the arrest, an entry and search was carried out both at the premises and at the house of the club's owners, where a large amount of money, marijuana and hashish were seized.

After the seizures and arrest, the drug retail point organized behind the legal appearance of the "cannabis club" is considered dismantled.

The detainee was transferred to the Civil Guard offices of the Tenerife North Airport, where proceedings were carried out, and on the morning of June 16 he was brought to judicial custody in the Investigative Court No. 4 of La Laguna.
