The Tax Agency has refunded 11,301 billion euros to 15 million Income Tax payers
Refunds have been paid to 96.8% of the taxpayers who requested them, and the amount paid out equates to 93.8% of the total value of all refunds requested
To date, the Tax Agency has returned 11.301 billion euros to fifteen million taxpayers, corresponding to the liquidation of the 2009 Personal Income Tax (IRPF) tax year. The amount of the refunds represents 93.8% of the total requested, and the number of returns represents 96.8% of those requested.
Compared to the end of last year, the amount refunded has decreased by 7.03%, and the number of taxpayers who have already received the refund, 14,960,035, is 1.92% lower than last year; It should be noted, however, that both the total amount requested and the number of applications have also decreased by 6.3% and 1.8% respectively compared to the previous year.
During the 2009 Personal Income Tax campaign, 19.36 million Personal Income Tax returns were filed, 0.4% less than the previous year, when 19.44 million were filed. Of these, 7.5 million were submitted online, 8.20% more than the previous year.
