The Tax Agency enables a public law debt payment service by telephone for individuals
The service is operative as from today, 1 December. For access, please call 901 200 350.
The Tax Agency has today set up a payment service for public law debts managed by the Tax Agency by telephone for natural persons, not legal entities, through the number 901 200 350. In this way, taxpayers who have received requests for payment of debts with the tax administration will be able to make payments over the phone and thus avoid trips to financial institutions.
Taxpayers who wish to use this new service must inform the Tax Agency's Telephone Service Centre that they wish to make the payment by telephone, for which they will be required to provide their NIF and the reference number of the payment request that they will have received by certified mail. To make the payment, which is made by direct debit, the taxpayer must provide an account number from which the charge will be made. The owner of that account must be the owner of the debt. You will then be able to receive proof of payment by mail or by SMS, which will provide you with a code that you can use to access your proof of payment through the Tax Agency's electronic office. It is estimated that 750,000 taxpayers will benefit from this new system each year.
