The new offices are better communicated and are adapted for disabled people.

 The Tax Agency is reorganising its offices in Barcelona to improve service to citizens and save costs. As of February 28, 2012, a new office will open, the Via Augusta Administration, at Via Augusta 197-199, corner of Calvet, in the building where the Special Delegation of Economy and Finance is located. On the same date, the Gràcia Administration, Avinguda Princep d'Asturies, 66, and the Pedralbes-Sarrià Administration at Ronda General Mitre, 29-31, will close.

This geographical reorganisation and the new distribution of workers and materials based on workloads will result in an improvement in the provision of information and citizen service. These changes represent a saving of public funds of more than 580,000 euros per year.

The new Via Augusta office is a building with good connections by metro, rail and bus, as it is close to the Muntaner and Bonanova stations of the Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat de Catalunya, as well as the various urban bus lines that run along Calvet and Via Augusta, as well as along Ronda del General Mitre and Calle Ganduxer. This is a new space adapted for people with disabilities and designed specifically for their purpose.

The Tax Agency will occupy the first, third and part of the ground floor of the building. It was necessary to demolish some partitions, repair false ceilings, install electrical lines and lighting, adapt communications and archive rooms and reorganize spaces. The total cost of these works was 158,000 euros, to which must be added 230,000 euros for furniture and equipment.

These changes affect taxpayers from the districts of Sarrià - Sant Gervasi (neighborhoods of Vallvidrera, Tibidabo i Les Planes, Sarrià, Sant Gervasi - Bonanova, Les Tres Torres, El Putget i Farró and Sant Gervasi - Galvany) and Gràcia (neighborhoods of Vallcarca i els Penitents, El Coll, La Salut, Vila de Gràcia, El Camp de'n Grassot i Gràcia Nova).

Affected taxpayers will be assisted at the offices of the Tax Agency according to the postal code of their tax domicile. Specifically:
