The Tax Agency has returned more than €10,110 million to 14.2 million taxpayers

By the end of December, more than 96.5% of refund requests had been fulfilled and the amount of refunds exceeded 92.7%.

Of the total number of drafts and declarations, more than 12 million have been submitted online, 11.9% more than in the previous campaign
January 13, 2014.- More than 14.2 million Personal Income Tax (IRPF) filers have received, at the end of 2013, the refund corresponding to the 2012 Income Tax Campaign, which implies that more than 96.5% of all refunds requested (just over 14.7 million) have been paid. In terms of amount, the Tax Agency has reimbursed taxpayers more than 10.11 billion euros, 92.7% of the amount requested, which means increasing by more than two points the level of amount returned in the same dates of the previous year (90.4%).
In the 2012 Income Tax Campaign, just over 19.4 million declarations were submitted, of which 12 million, 61.9%, were submitted online, which represents 6.8 points more than last year (55.1%) and 15.9 points more than two years ago (46%). According to data as of December 30, while the total number of declarations fell by 0.48% compared to the previous year, online filings increased by almost 11.9%.
Of the 8.9 million IRPF drafts submitted, 5.6 million have been sent to the Tax Agency online, 14.7% more than last year. Of the remaining 10.5 million returns, 6.3 million have also been submitted electronically, 9.4% more than a year ago.
The new increase in online submissions is justified by the improvement and updating of the information and assistance content accessible on the Agency's website, sede.agenciatributaria.gob.es , as well as by the ease of online access to the REN0 system for quickly obtaining the draft and tax data. In this campaign, the REN0 service, which speeds up the submission of drafts and income tax returns, was used by more than 14,400,000 taxpayers, 14.4% more than in the previous campaign.
