General questions about the electronic DNI

The use of the electronic DNI is valid for online procedures. To use it, you need certain pieces of hardware and software that can access the card's chip, and therefore access the certificates contained in it.

When accessing a web page option that requires an electronic certificate, the browser must request the PIN and then display the certificate store so that the appropriate one can be chosen (authentication or signature).

If this does not happen, it means that the browser or the DNIe are not correctly configured. For more detailed information, please consult the information available on the website of the Ministry of the Interior (General Directorate of Police and Civil Guard) regarding electronic DNI .
