How to download or install your electronic certificate
Following the application for the electronic certificate and accreditation (where required), the procedure for obtaining the certificate may vary depending on the issuing entity concerned. In some cases, you may need to directly download it online in your browser, or get a smart card;in other cases, the issuing body will provide a copy of the electronic certificate on a digital storage unit, along with an installation guide so that the user can install it on a browser.
In any case, downloading or acquiring the certificate takes place through the issuing body, and has nothing to do with the Tax Agency. If the electronic certificate is installed on your browser successfully, a window will appear requesting your acceptance every time identification or a signature is required by the AEAT webpage.
