How to identify yourself using your DNI or NIE number with contrast data
There are procedures on the Tax Agency's online office that allow you to identify yourself with your DNI or NIE number, along with additional verification information.
When accessing the procedure, the available options will be offered, click on " DNI / NIE number with contrast data"
In the next window, enter your DNI or NIE
- ID : 8 numbers and letter (no space or hyphen)
- NIE : Letter 7 numbers and letter (without spaces or dashes)
Depending on the type of document indicated, the verification data will be required below.

If it is a DNI : indicates the validity date. In the case of permanent DNI (with validity period 01/01/9999), the requested data is the date of issue. At the bottom, you have the help link that explains how to locate the validity/issue date on the different types of DNI.

If it is a NIE : the support number that appears on the document will be requested. You can access the help link "How to obtain your document support number?", which explains how to locate this information on your alien card, residence permit, or EU citizen certificate and how to correctly enter it on the form. For more information about the support number, you can also refer to the help "Enter valid support" (How to enter the support number)".
Pressing "Continue" will validate the data entered.
