How to get a TOKEN (Temporary numeric key)
TOKEN is an identification system that allows you to obtain assistance or carry out procedures through the Tax Agency's telephone channels (except for telephone assistance for the Income Tax campaign) using a temporary 6-digit numerical code that will be valid for 1 hour from the date it is obtained.
The TOKEN allows acting on one's own behalf or on behalf of third parties. If it is on behalf of third parties, the applicant must have an electronic representative certificate or be registered in one of the following registers of the Tax Agency: Registry of powers of attorney or Registry of successions and legal representations of minors and incapacitated persons.
Access to the TOKEN application requires identification using an electronic certificate or through the eIDAS system for citizens of a EU country, in the latter case you must have DNI , NIE or NIF L or M. You can find the TOKEN application by entering "Electronic identification", "TOKEN".
To start the TOKEN request, click on "Obtain TOKEN" and select one of the options offered, with a certificate or electronic ID with which you wish to identify yourself, or through authentication as a EU Citizen ( eIDAS ).
In the following window, the "Own Name" option is checked by default and the " NIF " box is filled in with the NIF identified.
If you select "Power of Attorney" or "Succession", you must fill in the NIF of the person represented.
Once you have entered the data, click on "Request Token".
You will receive a 6-digit numeric code, which you will have to provide to the telephone agent when requested, and its validity period, which will be 1 hour. In this same window, the applicant's and the represented party's data are reported.
