1. GENERAL IDEAS

The “STOCK PORTFOLIO” program is a tool that allows individuals to obtain a summary of all operations carried out during the year with shares listed on official secondary securities markets.

“SECURITIES PORTFOLIO” is a personalized program for each taxpayer, and in which, starting in fiscal year 2018, information related to the operations carried out by the taxpayer on shares will be automatically incorporated (acquisitions, subscriptions, delivery of shares released, returns of share premiums, capital reductions, exchanges with deferral and splits) with which, through this program, the profit or loss generated in each operation can be calculated for its incorporation into Renta Web.

The program has continuity over time for each taxpayer, so the operations of all fiscal years will be incorporated starting with fiscal year 2018.

The values that are transferred to the Portfolio (or, where appropriate, those that must be reflected) are those that correspond to the taxpayer according to their percentage of ownership.

All operations incorporated automatically are susceptible to modification by the taxpayer, to guarantee their correct completion. The taxpayer must review the data incorporated to add all the information that is necessary to obtain the results. In all the information screens, to modify any of the data there is an “Edit” button through which we can access the modification we want to make.

To avoid duplication and errors, it is not possible to manually enter transaction data relating to a given year until the transactions relating to said year have been incorporated by the AEAT.

Regarding the shares of which the taxpayer is the owner on January 1, 2018, the operations that determine their value and acquisition date must be manually incorporated, since the operations are only incorporated automatically from January 1, 2018. .

Portfolio of Securities is complementary to the WEB INCOME program, so the results of the capital gains or losses can be incorporated into the corresponding Web Income boxes of each taxpayer.

This incorporation of the results to Renta Web will be carried out automatically if the results of the Securities Portfolio are completely consistent from the beginning, or by updating the results of the Securities Portfolio from Renta web after completing the necessary data in order for the results to be be consistent.

The use of the Securities Portfolio is optional for the taxpayer, which is why they can always opt in the Web Income section for profits and losses derived from the transfer of listed shares by completing this section manually without using the Securities Portfolio. Both options are incompatible, therefore, the taxpayer must complete said section in its entirety using Securities Portfolio or manually.

Without prejudice to the above, if the taxpayer has transferred during the year shares acquired before 1994 that have generated capital gains susceptible to reduction in accordance with the provisions of DT 9, or is over 65 years of age with the possibility of applying the exemption for reinvestment in annuities, once the results of the Securities Portfolio have been transferred to your Web Income, it will be here where you can complete the necessary data to apply both tax benefits.

The sale of subscription rights, having had specific treatment since January 1, 2017 in other sections of the Web Income Program, are not incorporated into the Securities Portfolio Program. (Only sales of subscription rights relating to securities owned on January 1, 2018 and that were made prior to January 1, 2017 must be entered manually, as they affect their acquisition value, which is you must capture manually in these cases.)
