1.3.3. Postal deliveries

In accordance with the provisions of article 1, point 24, of AD CAU , a postal shipment contains goods that meet the following conditions:

• be distinct from the objects of correspondence,
• be contained in a package or postal parcel, and
• be transported by a postal operator or under its responsibility in accordance with the provisions of the Universal Postal Union (UPU).

For the sake of completeness, Article 1, point 25 of the UCC AD defines “postal operator” as “an operator established in a Member State and designated by it to provide the international services governed by the Universal Postal Convention”.
