2.5.5. Single submission of the customs declaration and the entry summary declaration (DSE)

The essential element of this possibility is the principle that the data provided to the shared interface for economic operators, of the Import Control System 2 (ICS2), can serve two different purposes: the obligations of the DSE and those of the customs declaration.

In the context of the release into free circulation of low-value consignments, the person submitting the declaration provides the data only once and as soon as possible, and the customs authorities subsequently use it for the various required purposes. This will imply that the customs declaration with the H7 data set will be submitted together with the entry summary declaration data through the ICS2 shared interface for economic operators (single point of entry).

However, this possibility is not contemplated before the implementation of version 2 of ICS2 (scheduled for March 1, 2023) and is still very uncertain, given that this functionality has not been developed in detail and, therefore, At this stage it is not planned to be included in version 2.
