Box 00079 ZEC entity in tax consolidation

This box should be ticked by the branches of the Canary Islands Special Zone (ZEC) of entities with tax residence in Spain that apply the special tax rate of 4 per cent provided for this Zone, and which, with effect for tax periods beginning on or after 1 January 2018, may form part of a tax group that applies the special tax consolidation regime provided for in Chapter VI of Title VII of the LIS.

This box identifies the entities that file two forms 200, one in which they will tick this box and declare the part of the tax base to which the ZEC tax rate is going to be applied, and another form 200, for the part of the tax base that is not taxed at the special tax rate and which is going to apply the special tax consolidation regime (in this form they should not tick box [00079], but they should tick the boxes [00009] "Parent entity of tax group" or [00010] "Subsidiary entity of tax group", as appropriate).

These entities should also tick the box [00029] "Régimen especial Canarias" on page 1 of form 200.
