Subsection 1.1: General company information

1.1.1

In relation to questions a) and b), please provide the reference data for the authorisations and applications (name and EORI number, issuing customs authority and registration number).
If applicable, please indicate what you share with these companies, for example, whether you share computer systems, or whether you have common minimum security standards or common documentation procedures, whether you share facilities, etc.

1.1.2

In relation to question a), include only shareholders who participate in the decision-making process and the day-to-day work of the company.

1.1.3

The person in charge of customs affairs is the person from the company or a contracted person who handles the applicant's customs affairs.

1.1.4

Please provide the NACE Revision 2 (Statistical Classification of Economic Activities) code for your business activities. Part 1, Section II of the AEO Guidelines defines the international supply chain.
To determine and indicate your role in the international supply chain, please use the following: orientation(twenty-one):

  • Merchandise Manufacturer (MF): Party that manufactures goods.

This code should only be used if the economic operator is the one who manufactures the goods. It does not cover cases where the economic operator is only involved in the trade of goods (e.g. e.g., export or import).

  • Importer (IM): Party that submits, or on behalf of which a customs clearance agent or other authorized person submits, an import declaration. This may be a person who has possession of the goods or to whom they are intended.

This code should only be used if the economic operator is in possession of the goods. For customs agents or other representatives, use the code for "customs representative."

  • Exporter (EX): Party that lodges (or on whose behalf) the export declaration is lodged and that, at the time the declaration is accepted, has possession of the goods or a similar right of disposal over them.

For customs agents or other representatives, use the code for "customs representative."

  • Customs Broker (CB): An agent or representative or a professional customs clearance agent who deals directly with customs on behalf of the importer or exporter.

The code can also be used by economic operators acting as agents/representatives for other purposes (e.g. representatives of transporters).

  • Carrier (CA): Party that carries out or organizes the transportation of goods between certain points.
  • Freight Forwarder (FW): Party that organizes the shipment of goods.
  • Consolidator (CS): Part that consolidates several shipments, payments, etc.
  • Terminal Operator (TR): The part that deals with the loading and unloading of maritime vessels.
  • Depositary (WH): Party that assumes responsibility for the goods entering a storage facility.

The deposit should not be considered mandatory as a customs warehouse; Therefore, it should also be used for economic operators managing other types of warehouses (e.g. temporary storage warehouses, free trade zones, etc.).

  • Others: For example, container operators (CF), stevedores (DEP), maritime transport services (HR).

If you perform more than one function in the international supply chain, please provide the relevant codes to indicate them.

1.1.5

Provide detailed information on the establishments where customs activities are carried out (if these are carried out in more than five different locations, provide information only on the five main ones) and the addresses of the remaining establishments where such activities are carried out.

If, during the AEO authorization application process, customs activities begin at new establishments, please provide detailed information about them.

1.1.6

This question is about whether or not you trade (in goods, not services) with your affiliated companies. For example, if all your purchases come from your parent company in the US, or if you import on behalf of affiliated companies in EM countries and distribute them to them. You must provide detailed information during the authorization process.

1.1.7

In this regard, a detailed organizational chart of the company can be provided, including the different sectors or departments, their functions or responsibilities, and the corresponding management chain.

1.1.8

If not already specified in questions 1.1.2. b) and c), please provide your name, full address, date of birth and national identification number (e.g., national identity card or social security number).

The procedures should highlight the measures taken to address the temporary or short-term absence of key personnel, for example, the person responsible for managing customs matters or the person in charge of imports, and should specify how and by whom they are replaced in the performance of their normal duties.

1.1.9

Please provide the (approximate) figure available at the time of submitting your application. In this regard, please indicate whether the company is covered by the definition of micro, small or medium-sized enterprise contained in the Commission Recommendation of 6 May 2003, OJ L 124/2003. The following table is based on the above recommendation:

Type of company Troops Business volume Total balance
Big ≥ 250 any any
Median < 250 ≤ 50 m € ≤ €43m
Small < 50 ≤ 10 m € ≤ 10 m €
Microenterprise < 10 ≤ 2 m € ≤ 2 m €

In the case of the "Turnover" and "Balance" columns, it is not necessary for both conditions to be met simultaneously. For example: In the case of a medium-sized company, it must have less than 250 employees and: a) have a turnover less than or equal to 50 million or, b) that the total balance is less than or equal to 43 million.

(twenty-one) The codes used come from UN/EDIFACT "Party function code qualifier".(Back)
