Subsection 6.12: External services

Section 28(1)(f) of the CAU requires you to have established appropriate security procedures for contracted external service providers. Such service providers could include areas such as transportation, security guard duties, cleaning and maintenance, and third-party contractors.

6.12.1. a), b) and c)

For questions a) and b), you must have all contracts and service level agreements covering employee identity checks and other issues related to external services ready for the customs visit. During the visit, provide a list of all companies and indicate the services they provide.

For question c), please describe how you monitor the contract, address irregularities, and review procedures. Support your answer by referring, where appropriate, to the risk and threat assessment described in question 6.1.2. a) and b). All compliance monitoring must be accompanied by appropriate signed and dated evidence.
