Deduction for large families
Who is entitled to the deduction, how much you are entitled to, and how to claim it
Amount of deduction
The maximum amount is €1,200 per year (€100 per month) with a 100% increase for special category large families.
From PIT In 2018, for each child in a large family exceeding the minimum number of children required for the family to acquire the status of a general or special category large family, the above amounts may be increased by up to €600 per year.
There may be more than one person entitled to the deduction for the same large family. In this case, the amount will be prorated among all of them, in equal parts, unless you assign the right to one of them, which will be the one that receives the full amount of the deduction.
