Text messages (SMS) not sent by the Tax Agency
Another method of fraud is through sending text messages (SMS) to citizens, also known as “smishing”The purpose of which is to get citizens to visit fraudulent websites, download malicious software, or call fake or illegitimate numbers, such as SMS messages sent by telephone information and customer service companies, which redirect calls to the Tax Agency and charge them according to their rates, to request services such as the draft of the Income Tax return and its confirmation.
