Sales, Employment and Wages in Large Companies
For these purposes, Large Companies are natural or legal persons whose volume of operations has exceeded the figure of 6.01 million euros during the immediately preceding calendar year. They represent slightly less than 1% of the total number of VAT filers, but their weight in the turnover of all companies is greater than 60%.
These companies are required to submit their statements monthly. In them, in addition to the tax information itself, they provide information on the economic variables (sales, employment, salaries) that allow the calculation of their tax obligations.
The result of the exploitation of these statements (with the nuances detailed in the methodological notes) provides information on the monthly evolution of sales, exports, imports, employment and salaries. This information is presented as series of index numbers, original and corrected for seasonal and calendar variations (CVEC). Furthermore, for the variables derived from the VAT models, deflated information is also presented.
