Population scope

The population scope of this product is built from three criteria. In most cases, all three criteria are met simultaneously, although there are a few cases in which only one of them is valid. The selection of the municipalities subject to this statistic requires that it be fulfilledat least oneof the criteria described below.

  • Criterion 1: Population size. Being a municipality with more than 100,000 inhabitants according to the Population Census.
  • Criterion 2: Fiscal Size. Be a municipality with more than 100,000 Personal Income Tax returns in the fiscal year
  • Criterion 3: Total gross income. Be a municipality with a gross aggregate income exceeding 2.2 billion euros.
