Content of the publication

Although different operation variables of those included in the Statistics of payers of Personal Income Tax by municipalities have not been defined, the presentation of some tables, particularly of the first two tables, does change. The first adds the participation percentage (representation) of the variables from each of the main municipalities with regard to the total in TRFC, and in the second, the comparison of main municipalities is established with respect to its own Autonomous Community for the most significant operation variables (declarative index, population, average gross income and average disposable income).

The map of the new Statistics is:

Statistics on Personal Income Tax filers in the largest municipalities by postal code

  • Selection and representation
  • Comparison of the largest municipalities with respect to the national total

The following five tables are equivalent to those appearing in the Statistics by Municipality, but with detail at the postal district level

  • Gross income and infra-municipal disposable income
  • Gross Income Composition (as of fiscal year 2021)
  • Gross income and municipal disposable income by tax base brackets
  • Economic and tax data
  • Family situation

The last group of tables is new to this publication: Each of the tables selects one of the seven main variables of the statistics and presents it by rows for all territorial areas up to the lowest level (postal codes), and by columns for the six tax base brackets.

  • Tax base sections and territorial scope

The seven variables selected in this table are: Number of declarations, Employment income, Exempt income, Average gross income, Social Security contributions, Amount resulting from self-assessment and Average disposable income.

View AEGEAN map data

A data visualization is presented through the AEGEAN map, an interactive map with georeferenced data. When accessing the choropleth map and selecting the administrative area (Autonomous Community, Province), data referring to the Average Gross Income of the postal code of the chosen municipality is presented on one map, and on another, the weight of the different sources of income in the Gross Income of each postal code.

Statistical confidentiality (SE)

Each of the data and breakdowns appearing in the publication's tables will be available only when there is a certain minimum number of observations in the selected cross-reference. This minimum is considered sufficient and necessary to safeguard the secrecy and confidentiality of taxpayers.

Unlike other statistical agencies that publish data at the item level, this one aggregates some interrelated data to mitigate, as far as possible, the impact of obscuring relevant content in the tables.

The value of the statistical secret parameter is SE
