Objectives of the publication

The Statistics on the Tax on the Registration of Motor Vehicles , constitutes a statistical publication based on the declarations of form 576 (IEDMT) submitted electronically on a mandatory basis when registering a motor vehicle. It offers economic and tax information contained in the declarations themselves, classified from different perspectives: heading, type of fuel, engine capacity, Autonomous Community and tax base sections equivalent to the value of the vehicle at the time of its acquisition.

The information is presented in two publications: Monthly Preview and Annual Statistics.

This publication provides additional perspectives on information that is already widely available and made available to the public by other organizations. The ultimate goal, therefore, is to incorporate tax information, as well as various classification criteria that allow for analysis of market trends.
