3.3 Net investment

It is the result of adding the concepts of deductible and non-deductible investment of the general regime and simplified regime and reducing it by the amount of the divestment.

IN = BCID + CITSD - DESINV

Investment purchases deductible under the general regime (CID)

Similarly to current purchases, they are classified by origin into three groups:

  1. Internal operations: It refers to investment purchases within the territory of application of the tax and are recorded in items 50 and 520.
  2. Imports: Purchases of capital goods made from third countries outside the European Union are recorded in item 54.
  3. Intra-Community Acquisitions: Purchases of capital goods made within the European Union are recorded in item 58.

As in the case of current purchases, to establish the distinction between deductible and non-deductible purchases, the declaration of each taxpayer has been transformed in the part relating to deductions, adding the distinction between total purchases (CIT) and deductible purchases (CID) for each level of breakdown of the same.

In the case of declarants who exclusively carry out taxable and non-exempt transactions or exempt transactions with the right to deduction, it is verified that:

CIT = CID

This assumption corresponds to the full deductibility of the amounts incurred in the acquisition of investment goods. And as explained for current purchases, the concept of total purchase and deductible purchase is related through proration. The pro rata percentage, P, is defined as:

P = (1 -(VESD/VT))*100.

Deductible investment purchases under the simplified regime (BDEDRSI)

Amount corresponding to the taxable base of the VAT paid on the acquisition of fixed assets declared by subjects covered by the simplified regime.

Deductible Investment Purchases (BCID)

It is the sum of deductible investment purchases under the general and simplified regimes.

BCID = CID + BDEDRSI

Divestment (DESINV)

Amount corresponding to the delivery of capital goods under the general regime and the simplified regime (items 106 and 107 and item 78).
