1.4 Economic sector

With the entry into force of the new National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE-2025), this publication adapts its table structure to reflect this new nomenclature.

The aim is to achieve continuity in the series, and for this purpose, statistics offer two distinct classifications: On the one hand, the series from 2022 to the current year 2025 are maintained in the annual comparison section under the CNAE-2009 structure, which guarantees methodological homogeneity and allows for analysis of the evolution of the measured economic magnitudes with a temporal perspective; On the other hand, a specific table classified with the new CNAE-2025 referring to the year 2025 is incorporated for each of the magnitudes investigated in the 2022 - 2025 series.
