Daily domestic sales
The statistics include the level and daily evolution of the sales made by companies included in the Immediate Supply of Information (SII) system.
Since its entry into force, this system has provided sales data that are more up-to-date, that is, daily data instead of monthly or quarterly data, which are typical of VAT returns. Large companies (with a turnover over 6 million euros in the previous year), VAT groups and companies registered in the Monthly VAT Return Registry must file their tax obligations through the SII system. Daily sales account for around 70% of the total domestic sales of all VAT taxpayers (the percentage is higher when considering the total volume of operations that is declared).
The publication is made up of a report and the historical series since 1 July 2017. From the latter, when appropriately processed, we obtain a sign of the economic situation, which complements and anticipates the sales information included in the tax revenue reports and in the monthly statistic Sales, Employment and Wages in Large Companies and the quarterly statistic Sales, Employment and Wages in Large Companies and SMEs.
It will be published on a weekly basis, every Wednesday, except on bank holidays, where it will be published on the following day.
Note: as of 10/05/2023, the report's tables will change slightly to reflect the data in original terms.
