Daily sales
The statistics record the level and daily evolution of total sales (domestic and export) made by companies included in the Immediate Information Supply (SII) system.
Since its entry into force, this system has provided sales data that are more up-to-date, that is, daily data instead of monthly or quarterly data, which are typical of VAT returns. Large companies (with a turnover over 6 million euros in the previous year), VAT groups and companies registered in the Monthly VAT Return Registry must file their tax obligations through the SII system. Daily sales represent around 75% of the total sales of all VAT taxpayers.
The publication is made up of a report and the historical series since 1 July 2017. From the latter, when appropriately processed, we obtain a sign of the economic situation, which complements and anticipates the sales information included in the tax revenue reports and in the monthly statistic Sales, Employment and Wages in Large Companies and the quarterly statistic Sales, Employment and Wages in Large Companies and SMEs.
It will be published on a weekly basis, every Wednesday, except on bank holidays, where it will be published on the following day.
Note (03/27/2024): The update of the sectorization of the branches has been incorporated, so there are some that have seen their historical trajectory modified. This therefore affects the aggregates derived from them. Likewise, it also affects the deflated and CVEC series, since each branch uses its own deflators.
