Provisions and other expenses
We inform you about the consequences of BREXIT on provisions and other expenses.
Article 14 of the LIS, which regulates provisions and expenses in section 2, establishes the cases in which expenses related to staff remunerations will be deductible through defined contribution systems or defined benefit pension plans and funds. In this respect, contributions made by the sponsoring undertakings provided for in Directive 2003/41/EC to institutions for occupational retirement provision authorised or registered in another Member State are considered deductible, provided that certain conditions are met.
From 1 January 2021 onwards, it will have to be borne in mind that contributions to employment pension funds in the United Kingdom, to the extent that if contributions could be made, in the case of a financial question, would not be considered as a deductible expense.
