4.1.5. Assistance plan for people with disabilities

Since 2004, the Tax Agency has signed a collaboration agreement with the Spanish Committee of Representatives of People with Disabilities (CERMI) and the ONCE Foundation. Under this agreement, the Tax Agency approves an Annual Assistance Plan for People with Disabilities in agreement with these bodies. This plan includes information and assistance actions, accessibility on the website and in offices, training actions aimed at raising awareness among Tax Agency officials about the needs of this group, etc. During 2020, practically all of the provisions included in the Annual Plan have been met.

Furthermore, in 2020, the demand for statistical information from the Associations that signed the Agreement has continued to be met, with the statistical publication referring to the Personal Income Tax data for 2019 for the group of people with disabilities . The Tax Agency's commitment in relation to this group is to maintain this publication in future periods, increasing the series of statistical publications based on taxes that are accessible on the Tax Agency's website.

In Table No. 29. Accessibility to the Tax Agency buildings (Annex) New window shows the situation during the 2020 financial year.

Accessibility is available in 99.2 percent of buildings (92.4 percent at the main entrance, plus 6.8 percent at the alternative entrance). Buildings with adapted toilets represent 78 percent of the total. With regard to lifts, it is important to clarify that there are buildings, essentially Administrations, that have only one storey and in which no lift is therefore required.
