May 6, 2022.- Officials of the Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency and agents of the Civil Guard have managed to arrest a Mexican crew member when she was trying to introduce 11,950 grams into our country. of high purity cocaine.

The action took place on April 24, when in the context of a luggage inspection using an 'x-ray' scanner on the crew of a flight from Mexico, the presence of some packages likely to contain some type of narcotic substance.

Therefore, the suspicious luggage was opened in the presence of its owner, one of the flight crew, and inside the suitcase was located a bag with ten rectangular packages wrapped in black adhesive tape that contained a whitish substance similar in appearance. and smell of cocaine.

After taking a sample from one of the packages and analyzing the substance, the 'narcotest' gave a positive result for cocaine, so the packages, which contained an approximate total of 11,950 grams of highly pure cocaine, were seized.

At that time, the crew member, a 38-year-old woman of Mexican origin, was arrested for a crime against public health for drug trafficking.
