Ethics in Tax Administration

The Fiscal Blog of Crónica Tributaria , for yet another week, publishes an entry on different aspects of taxation. On Wednesday, March 8, an entry written by Diego Loma-Osorio Lerena, State Attorney and Director of the Legal Service of the State Tax Administration Agency, was published with the title “Ethics in Tax Administration”, which is especially timely after the recent publication of the code of ethics for the Tax Agency.

In the entry, the author reflects on the need for any organization, whether public or private, to subject its actions to a set of values and standards of conduct that make up an ethical model and encourage its members to engage in ethical behavior.

It draws attention to the need for the ethical model, initially included in the Code of Ethics for the Tax Agency, to be developed as specific questions are raised to the Ethics Advisory Commission of the Tax Agency, which is the body in charge of resolving them. , and their responses are published.
