Ethics in Tax Administration
The Tax Blog of Crónica Tributaria , one more week, publishes an entry on different aspects of taxation. On Wednesday, March 8, a post was published written by Diego Loma-Osorio Lerena, State attorney and Director of the Legal Service of the State Tax Administration Agency, entitled “Ethics in the Tax Administration”, which is especially timely following the recent publication of the ethical code for the Tax Agency.
In the entry, the author reflects on the need for any organization, whether public or private, to subject its actions to a set of values and standards of conduct that make up an ethical model and encourage its members to behave ethically.
It draws attention to the need for the ethical model, initially included in the Code of Ethics for the Tax Agency, to be developed as specific questions are raised to the Ethics Advisory Committee of the Tax Agency, which is the body responsible for resolving them, and its responses are published.
