March 27, 2023.- Officials of the Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency together with civil guards from the Tax and Border Section of the Bilbao airport have seized nearly 2,000 undeclared male sexual enhancement pills from a passenger at the airport terminal.
Investigators from the Customs Surveillance Service and the Civil Guard who act as State Fiscal Guard under the functional dependency of the Regional Customs and Foreign Trade Department. of the AEAT of the Basque Country, carry out daily inspections of passengers and luggage according to preventive risk criteria at Bilbao airport, among other actions.
At one of these checks, at the beginning of March, they checked and inspected the luggage of a passenger arriving from Brazil, via Madrid, who had previously stated that he was not carrying anything that could be declared at the customs facility.
The agents observed around 2,000 50 mg tablets of sildenafil citrate inside a suitcase that was part of the checked luggage, distributed between blister packs and boxes.
As a result of these events, the drugs were seized and the passenger was charged with a crime against public health in relation to drugs, as an investigated person who was not detained.
