In addition, three people have been arrested for a crime against public health.
The operation began in November 2022, when investigators discovered how a 'cannabis association' located in the town of Tías was engaged in the sale of marijuana and processed and derived hashish.
Following the appropriate police investigations and necessary follow-ups, investigators managed to locate and identify the origin of the substance and the place of supply of the 'cannabis club', which was a house located in the municipality of Tahiche.
Already in the exploitation phase of the operation, Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency and the Civil Guard carried out two raids and searches on May 15. The first, in the Tahiche home, where two people were arrested and 298 marijuana plants, 2.5 kilos of buds, 8 kilos of chopped marijuana, 94 grams of marijuana and 89 jars of hashish derivatives were seized.
On the other hand, and in order to know and verify the destination of this crop, another entry and search was carried out in the 'cannabis club', where 607 grams of marijuana buds, 97 grams of hashish, 21 grams of chopped marijuana, 22 jars with cannabis-derived liquid, 20 marijuana cigarettes, 15 jars with hashish resin, hashish food products, cash and
four syringes prepared with 500 ml of liquid THC were seized, which is why three people were arrested for the alleged authorship of a drug trafficking crime.
This operation dismantles the cannabis derivatives sales point in the municipality of Tías and the plantation that supplied it, identifying those responsible for the possession of all the objects and substances seized, leaving all the proceedings at the disposal of the corresponding court on duty in Arrecife.
