A "cannabis club" used as a point of sale for drugs and various "indoor" crops dismantled in Lanzarote

A joint operation by the Tax Agency and the Guardia Civil

  • Three people arrested after locating several indoor crops with almost 300 plants, as well as elements for the treatment of cannabis, in a home

May 18, 2023.- Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency and the Civil Guard of the Las Palmas Command, within the framework of the joint operation 'Patrycios', have dismantled a drug sales point camouflaged as an association or 'cannabis club' and a marijuana plantation located inside a house with 298 plants intended to supply the club's illegal sales. In addition, they have arrested three people for a crime against public health.

The operation began in November 2022, when investigators verified how a 'cannabis association' located in the town of Tías was dedicated to the sale of marijuana and hashish processing and derivatives.

After the appropriate police investigations and the necessary follow-ups, the investigators managed to locate and identify the origin of the substance and the place of supply of the 'cannabis club', being a home located in the municipality of Tahiche.

Already in the exploitation phase of the operation, Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency and the Civil Guard carried out two entries and searches on May 15. The first, in the Tahiche home, where two people were arrested and 298 marijuana plants, 2.5 kilos of buds, 8 kilos of chopped marijuana, 94 grams of marijuana and 89 cans with hashish derivatives were seized. .

On the other hand, and in order to know and verify the destination of this crop, another entry and search was carried out in the 'cannabis club', where 607 grams of marijuana buds, 97 grams of hashish, 21 grams of sting of marijuana, 22 cans with cannabis-derived liquid, 20 marijuana cigarettes, 15 cans with hashish resin, hashish food products, cash and
four syringes prepared with 500 ml of liquid THC, which is why three people were arrested for alleged responsibility for a drug trafficking crime.

With this operation, the point of sale of cannabis derivatives in the municipality of Tías and the plantation that supplied it are dismantled, identifying those responsible for the possession of all the objects and substances seized, leaving all actions at the disposal of the corresponding court of duty of Reef.
