The Tax Agency and the Civil Guard arrest a man for drug trafficking in Ibiza

  • Three jars containing 1,673 ecstasy pills and 88 grams of MDMA in "rock" format have been found

May 24, 2024.- Officials from the Tax Agency in the Balearic Islands and agents from the Civil Guard proceeded on May 17 in Ibiza to arrest a man of Venezuelan nationality, as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime.

On the morning of May 17, during a tax inspection of parcels at Ibiza airport, investigators detected a shipment suspected of containing narcotic substances. The shipment was addressed to a resident of Ibiza. With the authorization of the investigating court number 1 of Ibiza, the agents proceeded to open the package and found three bottles with 1,673 ecstasy pills and 88 grams of MDMA in "rock" format.

Later that afternoon, the recipient of the narcotic substances was located and arrested. The judge ordered his imprisonment.
