  • Two people were arrested and various narcotic and psychotropic substances were seized, as well as 3,000 euros in cash.

May 27, 2024.- Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency in Las Palmas together with the National Police have arrested two men, aged 32 and 39 with police records, as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime.

The investigation was initiated by the National Police in 2022, after the agents received information that those investigated were traveling to a nightlife area in Maspalomas (Gran Canaria) to attract clients.

The investigations carried out by the agents verified that they also sold the drug in their homes, where they manufactured it through the use of controlled chemical precursors, or using chemical substances not controlled (pre-precursors) even by international conventions. This entails an obvious danger to public health, as these are substances that cause serious damage to public health, and in which the use of a multitude of preparations, acids, alcohols and solvents end up generating considerable damage to the health of the final consumer.

With the corresponding court order, two entries and searches were carried out at the homes of the two people investigated, proceeding to the seizure of 143 ecstasy pills, 190 grams of mephedrone, 35 grams of amphetamine, 13 grams of MDMA, 12 grams of cough -2CB, 4 grams of ketamine, 1.6 grams of methamphetamine, 51.59 milliliters of GHB, 7758 milliliters of GBL and 3,000 euros in cash, in addition to numerous documentation.

Finally, two men were arrested as alleged perpetrators of a drug trafficking crime and placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority.
