November 14, 2024.- The Customs Surveillance Operational Unit of the Tax Agency in Seville together with the Fiscal and Border Analysis and Investigation Unit of the Civil Guard of the Port of Seville (UDAIFF), have arrested a person as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime.
The investigation began after the interception of a package originating in Holland and destined for Seville, in which around 250 grams of the so-called New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) were found, which are mainly manufactured in the Netherlands and subsequently distributed throughout the European continent.
Once this shipment was intercepted, a device made up of agents from both bodies was established in order to determine the recipient.
On October 24, the person who received the package, a Spanish national, was arrested. Subsequently, a search was carried out at his home, where more than 285 grams of these substances were seized, as well as numerous bottles of "GHB", "poppers", sildenafil and cash. In addition, a large number of single-dose bags were found ready for sale.
The seized items have been made available to the Sanlúcar la Mayor Court on Duty.
This operation dismantles a home-based production centre dedicated to the preparation and distribution of synthetic drugs in Seville, linked to "chemsex".
The investigation was carried out within the permanent framework of collaboration between the Customs Surveillance Service and the Civil Guard in the fight against drug trafficking in the province of Seville.
