December 2, 2025. Customs Surveillance officials from the Tax Agency and agents of the Civil Guard, in a joint operation, have dismantled in Tenerife a criminal organization dedicated to the cultivation, production, transformation and distribution of narcotic substances through cannabis associations.
The so-called 'Brotherbross' operation has resulted in 14 arrests, some of them with numerous prior convictions for crimes against Public Health, who kept large sums of money and drugs in their homes.
The investigation began in November 2024, through a complaint to the Anti-Drug Prosecutor's Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife against a criminal group that operated mainly by controlling illegal cannabis associations, located in different municipalities of the island, which were used as covert distribution points and operated through front men.
During the operational phase, several raids and searches were carried out, including at six cannabis associations located in the towns of Adeje, El Fraile, San Isidro, Abades and Caletillas, which have been closed and sealed. In addition, a drug extraction and processing laboratory, two farms where marijuana plants were grown, three indoor marijuana plantations, and five private residences of the main suspects have been registered.
As a result of the searches, 70 kilos of marijuana, almost 9 kilos of hashish, more than one kilo of hashish resin, 1,736 marijuana plants, 57 grams of cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, 116 grams of 'rosin' (a type of marijuana or hashish of high purity), 109,452 euros in cash and two air guns were seized. These records have completely dismantled the cultivation, processing and distribution infrastructure used by the criminal group.
International trips to promote the brand
Among those arrested is the leader of the organization, who advertised himself on social media as "the world's best cannabis extractor" and called himself 'The Saint'. This person made international trips advertising his brand and method of making a substance called 'rosin' and 'bubble hash' to countries such as Argentina, Thailand or Italy. In addition, other lieutenants who carried out treasury work and the installation of the necessary infrastructure to carry out the crimes have been arrested.
The detainees, along with the seized substances and effects, were presented in the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of First Instance No. 1 of Granadilla de Abona, which was in charge of the investigation, ordering provisional imprisonment for three of the detainees.
The investigation has been carried out by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Operational Unit of Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency and agents of the Civil Guard from the Canine Service, from the Main Posts of Granadilla de Abona and Candelaria and from the Fiscal and Border Patrol (PAFIF) of the Tenerife Company, all of them belonging to the Tenerife Command of the Civil Guard.
