December 23, 2025. Customs Surveillance of the Tax Agency, and the Civil Guard of Cádiz, carried out a joint operation in the early hours of December 2nd, where three attempts to supply drugs to the coasts of Conil de la Frontera, Puerto de Santa María and the Sancti Petri channel were thwarted, in which four high-speed boats and 481 jerrycans with more than 14,000 liters of fuel intended to supply these boats were seized.
The operation involved Customs Surveillance resources by sea and several territorial patrols of Citizen Security of the Civil Guard on land, where a truck was intercepted containing two boats, an engine and 127 jerrycans of gasoline, elements frequently used to carry out the illicit activity of drug trafficking.
Similarly, during the joint operation, the Civil Guard's SIVE agents detected several boats carrying jerrycans of gasoline. The Customs Surveillance Service managed to intercept two high-speed boats and 354 jerrycans of gasoline.
In addition, during the operation, firefighters extinguished a fire on a recreational boat. It is being investigated whether it was filled with gasoline.
